The art of juggling is thousands of years old but some of its hidden benefits are just now being discovered. The flow of information from each side of the brain and the ability to process information visually is critical to learning. Research now shows that a motor skill, like juggling, is a great way to improve brain function and efficiency.

Jim’s own personal story of overcoming dyslexia parallels today’s research well. He has developed a great juggling workshop for kids in K-8th grade that will start them with juggling basics. The workshop includes four half-hour group sessions, all the juggling supplies for the students and teachers as well as a Jim “Basketball” Jones How to Juggle video. The video can be used to reinforce the concepts and principles taught in the workshop.

All the students start with juggling scarves and may move up to bean bags. With scarves, even the true beginners find success. Jim’s approach to teaching and his great attitude make this a fun and rewarding experience for your students.

Jim’s underlying theme of “We all learn over time, don’t quit before your time,” is easily demonstrated and reinforced. Simple concepts like “It is the small things in life we perfect that make big things look simple” help kids understand learning and that we all learn differently.

This workshop is a great way to allow your students to work directly with Jim as he educates and motivates them to learn to juggle. Juggling workshops run 30 minutes each and you can have four workshops (2 hours) for the approximate cost of one assembly. Save by booking both an assembly and workshops.
